Week 8 EOC: sexual harassment

I think that sexual harassment is wrong because of what it can do to a person in many ways. It is unwanted, unfair, illegal, and should not be accepted anywhere in the workplace. It is hard to think about work and do it well when you are worrying about someone harassing you. It disrupts the feeling of cooperation and might halt everybody’s work if it gets bad enough. The movie Apartment showed two people getting sexually harassed and it is wrong.
"sexual harassment occurs, "when submission to or rejection of this conduct explicitly or implicitly affects an individual's employment, unreasonably interferes with an individual's work performance or creates an intimidating, hostile or offensive work environment.""

week 7 EOC: How to evaluate someone in 15 easy steps

Hardly anything, because I did not understand the assignment. No, I was not surprised. I was decently prepared by looking at the chapter, and listening to the teacher. Nina, and Kelsey gave very quick answers and did not hesitate. I was fine with the interview and gave my answers. Nina felt she was a good student. Kelsey felt she was a good student. They both (Nina and Kelsey) would be good at what ever their degree is and probably excel. Yes I would want them to represent the school. This experience could have been better by not being fictitious and barely understandable. A real person and a better explanation of what this is all for since I will probably be doing little to none of this in my career.

Week6 EOC Steps in job instruction training

This movie did not follow the steps of Job Instruction Training. I do not understand this assignment. The fictitious company clearly did not follow these steps and I do not know what to say. The company did not put the new chick “ at ease “ and did not “arouse” her or give her “interest in training”. The company did not follow step 2 either or 3 or 4 and they was no consideration. I have no idea what this assignment teaches me.

Week 6 BOC stolen valor lawsuit

The company went wrong in the fact that they did not have any background check of any kind to find out if the person they hired was a Vet. The company can ask for pay stubs from the military, IDs, DD214, Proof of Veteran benefits. The Company did a bad thing because even preferring Vets they are discriminating towards 90% of America. The person who did not get the job still has the right to be employed with out having to worry about being like most of America. The Person could have sued, should have been able to show proof in the interview, and the interviewer did the wrong thing by not asking simple background questions without asking rude or racist questions. Anyone who lies about this should go to jail for at least four years because of the rarity of Americans who actually do serve and die for this country. I see this as a weakness of our country. Israel citizens have Mandatory military service and some countries have 7 year olds in military service, Wow.

Week 5 EOC stolen valor

This so called controversy is controversial because people are faking military action and now it is deemed legal to lie about under free speech. People are mad because they want the Stolen Valor Act to be enforced. I think everyone is being juvenile and making a big deal out of something that can be settles out of court. If the society around the “Bad” person just ostracizes him/her and makes them homeless from not giving them jobs, support of any kind, then they will be homeless and die and no one will have to worry about the liars anymore because the problem maker is dead. In the good fun of people who can whine about stuff they do not like will whine.
People who do not like this fact of this subject being legal needs to contact their senator and ask them to make it a law.
Personally I say make the liars suffer as much as the law can because military service is a serious subject and less than 10% of Americans serve their country and the rest need to observe that with respect.

WEEK 4 BOC: Analyze your own job

Job analysis of my job by Richard Cline:
Food Service Specialist (A cook in the army for if you can not understand the “Food” part or “Service”). A cook is pretty important when people need fed or are hungry and need to keep fighting. Nutrition is key to surviving and staying alive even in noncombat situations. A cook and it does not matter because pay goes by rank, not job. I am in the army so my word is good for this information. The Commander of my unit and then it goes up to the President. I report to my sergeant and I do not monitor others but I monitor the food. I do not understand the contacts part. I cook and clean for soldiers. Be physically up to any task required to be a soldier. We are told to use any tools given to us by the people in charge to get the job done. No computer necessary unless a NCO is going to do something. You need no baseline knowledge of any kind because the Army trains you to know all you need to know and gives you plenty of material to relearn anything you do not know or new material you need to learn.
